TITAN Containers UK are Now F-Gas Certified

5 min read

As a Market leading supplier of state-of-the-art temperature-controlled containers, we are proud to announce that TITAN Containers UK is now F-Gas Certified. This certificate confirms that we employ qualified, skilled F-Gas engineers to install, commission, decommission, repair, maintain and service refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump equipment.

FGAS Certification TITAN Containers UK

Management of F-Gases

F-Gas, the shorthand for fluorinated gas, is a gas manufactured to be used as a substitute for ozone-depleting gases. These gases do not affect the ozone layer, but they do contribute to the greenhouse effect, so they need to

be carefully managed. The F-Gas certification means we’ve achieved the necessary standards to work with machinery and equipment that contains fluorinated gas.

Full Support for Our UK Customers

This certificate makes it possible for our experienced teams to operate fully in the UK, ensuring our customers get the support they need with TITAN refrigeration containers. See our entire product range at Arcticstore.co.uk or call 0333 241 4 241 to speak to our dedicated Customer service team.

All companies with this accreditation are regularly audited to ensure they’re still meeting the necessary standards. We’re required to keep records of staff who are responsible for servicing TITAN products and servicing details, and this certificate shows we have developed a documented process for handling F-Gas leakages and other safety concerns.

Our technicians have shown knowledge of:

  • The causes of climate change, ozone layer depletion, and global warming
  • How to work with and test pressurised piping
  • How to test for leaks
  • How to deal with a leak (including evacuation)
  • How to avoid hazards
  • How to dispose of F-Gas materials
  • How to install and maintain F-Gas equipment in dynamic and stationary settings

Protecting You and the Environment

F-Gases are necessary for the use of cooling equipment and are a better option to ozone-destroying gases, but our staff needed this technical knowledge due to the risk F-Gases pose to living things (humans, animals, and plants) near where they’re being operated.

The UK Government and much of Europe require this certification to ensure that businesses dispose of F-Gases safely - they can initially be recycled in other industrial processes and then the byproducts are incinerated, which means that by the end of their lifecycle they have almost no global warming potential.

Here to Support You

This certification ultimately means that we’re able to provide you with the expert support you need while operating our containers. If you have any questions about this certificate or what it means for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team
